Hello Lovelies — Today I’m sharing with you a super cheerful seaside home decorated in a h.a.p.p.y. palette of pink, yellow, and lime that would make Lilly Pulitzer proud! This home was designed by Kelley Proxmire of Kelley Interior Design with traditional yet playful touches. Though the color palette is bold, it’s the small touches like colored piping and monogrammed pillows that pull the whole look together.
Imagine walking into this cheerful striped foyer that is reminiscent of a beach cabana. Amazing! I really adore the custom painted area rug.
The designer mixed botanical prints with raspberry fabrics, sunny wallpaper, and pops of green. Don't you just love the white chairs with the lime green table!
There are a few challenges when decorating with a preppy color scheme -- the primary one is to keep the room from looking juvenile. A sense of sophistication can be accomplished by using more formal fabrics such as velvet or silk.
Yesterday I wrote about my L.O.V.E. for blue ceilings and just look in the background of this room and you'll see a blue ceiling in the next room ... I crush!!
So there you have it … a bright, bold, preppy seaside “cottage” {if you can call a 5,000 square foot home a cottage}. I really love this cheerful Lilly Pulitzer styled decor, but I have a feeling it’s either something you’ll really love or possibly really hate.

My color theme is pink, green, and yellow. Living in Ohio, I needed some peaceful , bright colors to get me through the gloomy days. I feel like its spring, and summer year around. I would like to know what fabrics you used on curtains , chairs, and area rugs etc. What is a place or store you get your home decor, and accessories.
